I Generally throw everything on a baitcasters but when I do use a spinning reel for Finesse fishing I use my Shimano Sahara FI 2500 spooled with 10lb PowerPro Slick 8 line with a 6 or 8lb Fluoro leader on a Fenwick Elite Tech Bass 6’9” medium fast action rod.

Just got the conquest 842s and added a shimano stella FJ 1000.

Super light and plenty of power.

I'm running sunline 10lb braid.

I'm going to go against the grain here, my favorite is my Edge BW Gen1 6101. It's built on an HMX blank with Ti recoil guides, split carbon grip and super sensitive. I have a 2018 Daiwa Exist 2500 on it and it's a match made in heaven, I didn't always think that as I also previously had a 2015 Exist 1000 on it which I really liked as well. I have since been able to source a second Edge BW 6101, also built on an HMX blank but with full carbon handle, that's the new home of the 2015 Exist models.

was using my 802s NRX for some winter trout casting (casting open water)...just a small #2 mepps spinner...

such a great rod! i forget about it throughout bass season, but man is it light and sensitive.

use a 1000 sized stradic on it. great fun!

Good anyone have a GLX 852S? What do you use it for and how do you like it?

I'm getting warranty on my OG GLX and was told I should replace it with any of their GLX spinning rods since mine isn't made anymore.

Currently have only 2,but after being frequent on this forum, it seems only appropriate to add more to the collection this year lol
MB Hedgehog evoluzion F4st-69RSDti with a tatula LT silver
852s with a stradic ci4+

Wasn't able to justify spending big $$$ on spinning gear but somehow this forum has gotten to me lately and now I need to

Great taste sir. Love that stick and love may be understating. I was able recently acquire my second one new with tags. Both ride Exist LT. Thanks to a member here I was equally pleased to purchase a brand new never fished A-Mart DGS which will get another Exist LT for. I'm still on the hunt for a F-3 - 610DGS Carrozzeria Limited. One day I'll find her. :) Maybe \:D/

Which 852 is that? I'll be getting one and am wondering about how heavy a reel I'll need to get it to balance well.

It's the nrx 852s, the stradic ci4+ is a light reel, I think it balances pretty well with the rod

I'm a cheapass compared to ya'll!
My finesse setups are a pair of St Croix Avid X 6'9"MLXF rods, with a pair of Stradic CI4+ 3000 reels.

I have a couple:

7'6" MLMXS Tatula paid with a '14 Daiwa Caldia 2506
G. Loomis GLX 852S paid with a' 12 Shimano Twin Power 2500S

These are both newly acquired over the winter so I can't tell you how either of them fish yet.
