2019 kistler z bones in stock

Post by Hennessy »

I know these have been on pre order for awhile, now they're currently on the website. They have a interesting guide train. Also claiming to be more sensitive and lighter than the previous model, which I already thought was neck to neck with the nrx. Pricing is nrx range. There's a 7'3m at 3.4oz that has me interested, would fill the gap between my 852c and 893c nrx. Wonder if anyone had pre ordered them and had a chance to fish them yet

I was just looking at these today...

Thinking about getting the same rod you are talking about.

I wonder is the 7'3" medium is softer vs the 852c.

Built on the new NFC scrimless Xray blanks. I really hope these are a noticeable upgrade from the HM blanks. Maybe I'm just spoiled from my K2s and Point Blanks, but the HMs left something to be desired in terms of sensitivity in my hands. I've only fished my old man's NRXs a handful of times, but I without doubt thought they were livelier blanks. Definitely going to wait to hear a significant amount of feedback before I consider acquiring one.

Yeah, that's a little squirrelly, especially on flagship $500+ rods. Not too bad though(assuming they're all Fuji). At least they aren't micros.

My Lt/MH H3 is crispy. I'm going to have to swoop the 7H Zbone for bottom contact. 3.6 oz!! I'm Intrigued by the Mod fast action, lay the hammer then rock them back into the middle of the rod for safe keeping, sounds legit.

Although I never have tried a Kistler that's probably one brand that I have not tried yet that I really wish I would have maybe one day :-k but man the blank technology sounds t*tties :big grin: One of the few Rod companies I would buy the rod just for the rod blank technology alas MB has my heart and account on lock :laugh1:

Received my 2019 ZBONE Power 4 Medium Heavy 7'6'' today.

The rod is as light as promised (3.93 oz on my scale).

I have put a couple of reels on it for balance check.

Please see https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... sp=sharing
(@admin: why is it so darn hard to attach a image here? It is 2018 and there are a lot of libraries out there that resample image automatically, rather than asking the user to fidel around with the file...)

During this testing the Steez SV TW felt the 'best' on the rod. Probably since it is the lightest combo. 2nd place goes to the Chronarch. The CQ101HG feels a bit weird but still has something to it.

I think I will choose between the Steez SV TW and the CQ101HG.

Will give an update again once I fished the rod (with different reel combos).

Cheers.

I have been kinda looking at the ML/MF casting rod, might make a cool BFS rod. I was also thinking about going to with Recoil Guides and a spiral wrap just to make sure that I can never sell it :D

But, built like I would want it turns it into a ~$600 rod, so I think I will remain "kinda looking".

Just saw the review, wow... 2018 & they're still using micro guides ](*,)
They must have Boyd Duckett over there designing these things. ;)

Cals review looked great but I noted the micro-guide and old eyes comment as I resemble that fact. I don't fish leaders so it is only a sight problem for me.

Do we know if these guides are smaller then prior version zbone which I own? I think they called those medium micros or something like that.

I just pulled the trigger on the 7’3” hvy moderate action today. I did a phone order and Trey picked the phone up and took my order which was cool. He did mention the 5 power rods do not use the micro guides.
