The "over" rated thread is interesting to hear. Lets talk about the other side of the spectrum. What rods do you think are under rated/less hyped?

Oh, gotta add Berkley Lightning Shock rods... best $40 rod made. Better than a Dobyns! Cost less too!

I dont want to say under rated but, the OG Tatula rods dont seem to get the love they deserve.

I've been pretty impressed with the 2 MajorCraft rods I have, especially for the price point.

I would be remised if I didn't say the Kistler H3 rod. Given the Price and functionality of the rod, balance , sensitivity etc
I dont think one can go wrong with the 7'3" heavy I have..

I've got a stable full of OG Tatulas and Major Craft MS-X. They pretty much comprise my entire arsenal, so I agree whole heartedly. I've been touting the quality of the OG Tats for years. They blow everything else I'd tried before that out of the water.

As for Major Craft, I never hear anything bad about them. They definitely don't get the attention they deserve, especially considering the bang for the buck factor. They just haven't managed to proliferate the USDM.

some of the kistler rods i have fished have been great. I never fished these before in the past but the h 3 is a great rod especially the 7'3 hvy. the z bones are sweet as well just need some better cork i feel to finish the deal with those.

I'll throw another vote in for Kistler! Awesome rods.

I'm a little off the beaten path......Lamiglas for me. They are WAY underrated imho. The 3 custom Infinity builds I have are the best rods I have ever put my hands on. I didnt care for the stock rods due to their choice of a split reel seat, but the ones I have are every bit as sensitive as the NRX 854 I had. I also have one custom jig rod that's built on the 7'3" heavy XP Bass blank, and it is very nice, too. I can see a few more in my future. Regarding off-the-shelf rods, Major Craft are way underrated. I have 3 of those, and I like them as well as any stock rod I've used.

They will build that rod with Winn Grips, if you want.

I agree on the Kistler H3's, I have 3 of them; 7' ML spinning, 7'3" LMH, 7''11" Heavy, (and a 7'3" MH Zbone to round out my kistlers).

getting ready to build up two NFC X-ray blanks, and hopefully a PB blank after that. Always looking for the next best rod though... .
