If you have this rod, what is its best application in your opinion?
I am considering it for frogs, football head jigs, heavy cover pitching, and 1 oz or so swimbaits and scroungers. What do you think? Thanks for any information.

The champ 735 is a great moderate cover frog rod. You could also use it for small swimbaits (1/2 - 3/4 with plastic) and jigs, but for me, it was made for frogging! I just love the weight and balance of the rod.

I have the Non XP version and use it exclusively for frogs. It has worked well as a back up for pitching Jigs/heavy Texas rigs in the past but I usually use a DX 745 for that.
Never used it for football jigs at all but would imagine it would work and have never tried to throw a swimbait on it. The only swimbaits I currently throw are soft bodied and I usually throw them on a 734. with that said, if you are looking for a rod to do all of that, I wouldn't expect anything to excel at them all. I would say you should be happy with the rod for all of that but you will be really happy with it for frogs.

As others have said, it's in awesome frog rod. It has a nice tio to walk them and the power to hook them.
