What nrx or loomis power would you compare the 7’3 mh to?
Which model?

the 6'11m+ is stouter than my 852, it's like a 852.5.
the 73mh id say is closer to 873 than 853, little slower tip with more power than 853

i do not have the 72h yet, i have the expride 72h, 844 and 904 conquest so did not get one.

I think Im going to roll the dice on the 7'2"
I put a pxtr on the 6'11" and it balances just as good.
Its not in stock until the 30th Aug and even that's tentative

Thankyou for that info , sounds like the 7’3 has a similar action to the daemos which around that ball park is what I’m looking for.

I have a friend who has all the casting models of the new adrena line. He’s telling me they are softer actions than the Expride models.

I spent more time on the water with the 6'11"
from 23-15' of water 14lb sunlike , Antares (2018) HG
It was phenomenal, zoom speed worm and tokar hook... Its convinced me that I need the 7'2" model but I dont have a
reel for it a the moment.. that makes me look at the Antares A as a candidate.. The more I think about it , I think my wife is going to kill me.. but I've died and come back before...several times actually, She kills me with soft hands.. :big grin:

I have the 7’3 MH and the 7’2 heavy at the moment , last one will be the 6’11+. I have the Antares A on the 7’3 and it’s great , the Steez A on the 7’2 and it’s perfect.

What are you throwing on it? How would you rate the balance, casting accuracy and sensitivity?

Thx!

Good Evening

The 6'11" can anyone comment on it as a jerkbait rod.

I use a Rapala concept ti 6'11" which is a med / fast 1/4 - 1/2oz it is a soft med rod, and is my go jerkbait rod for visions 110 slender pointer 112 and any sub 100 size baits.

I have handled the first gen Adrena and really like the handle was looking to compliment my existing rod with one that could handle 100 pointers and 127-128 size baits. and double for 110 class baits

Thank you
Trevor

it's noticable stiffer than my expride 610m i use for 110-130 jerkbaits. it maybe okay for the larger 130+ sizes. The majority of my 110 size jerbaits i like my 610ml adrena.

I'd go with the 610m myself. I don't throw jerkbaits much anymore, but I will tie on a 110 from time to time. I think this model works great for them.

Steez A 🤔
What’s the weight of that reel? This may change everything :big grin:

Thanks for a comparison of the old and new mediums and a heads up on the 610ml Adrena
I search and it turns out the 610ml is hard to source, I will keep an eye out for it.

As the Concept ti rods are no longer made i bought another 6'11" to make sure i have them for a long time.
As i currently only have a few of the larger 120+ class baits I will use an existing rod...which is too old to mention ;)

Thanks
Trevor

Very light as expected but more power than expected. The 611m+ feels closer to MH. The 72mh works excellent for texas rigs and swimjigs.
I’ve been considering another rod in this line up.
How’s the backbone of the 72?
I was looking at the model above the 72 but than the Otomat lingers in my ear.
Judging by the other adrenas the 72H should be stout, i have the 72H expride so i ddint get the Adrena model.
Understood.
I was hoping for more variation of the adrena after ICAST
or news of the JDM version crossing the seas to the states.
I really like the six eleven and have considered another but I have to get through microeconomics and macroeconomics before I can get out the house
I bought the 72h from Japan before they came to the US. I sold it, but enjoyed it while I had it. I don’t know that I’d call it stout. It was the lightest heavy rated rod I had at the time.
for my clarity
when you speak of light are you talking weight or action?
What did you use the 7'2" for in terms of techniques? My intention is for bottom contact soft plastics and jigs.
The rating seems to favor 1/4-5/8oz and thats me shooting for middle ground. What about weightless lures?
I have a valkyrie 7'1" that kinda can do a lot of things like swim jigs, top water, toads, and bottom contact.. but it has a steez on it so i dont use it in brackish waters, Im hoping this rod would be a secondary if i can find the right reel for it.

Action. Let me clarify though. On certain rods, when you hit that backbone it’s like a thunk and that’s it. Depending on how your drag is set, this can be that point where it gives drag during a strong hook set. The new Adrena 72h I had kepted progressively bending. It’s a heavy powered rod; don’t get me wrong. But I found that it had that more progressive type JDM taper which in my hands made it feel much lighter than say a heavy powered loomis rod. It just kept bending I recall rather than hitting that thunk spot. It loaded like a dream for casting.
