BFS Travel Rods?
Greetings.
I just pre-ordered the MB TRIZA F0-63XTZ Aello - supposed to be here end June but we'll see. In the meantime I'm thinking that it might actually be on the lighter end of what I'm looking for. What other travel/multi piece BFS do you guys like?

Check out Majorcraft, they had a Go Emotion rod (I believe 4 piece), that is still my favorite BFS travel rod. I paired it with an Aldebaran BFS XG, for Ned rigs.Jevans1770 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 19, 2019 9:06 amGreetings.

I also have a few multi piece customs using Rainshadow blanks that I bought quite a few years back.
Get your kids hooked on fishing, and they'll never have any money for drugs or alcohol.
Re: BFS Travel Rods?
I ended cancelling my preorder for Megabass Triza for now - I ended up not really needing it.
Many JDM trout/BFS rods come travel friendly as multipiece or telescopic rods.
I enjoy my 3-piece trout rods: Daiwa Wise Stream 6’2” and Valley Hill 3’8”.
I also have an ABU KRX salty stage 5-piece BFS that is around 7’4”. It is a great rod for large trout and perch and would do good for bass.

How about I compare the Triza to my WiseStream 6'2" when I get it. That way you will know how they compare and if you need one!
Re: BFS Travel Rods?
That would be great, thank you. Any information would be great!Isaiah20 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 23, 2019 5:23 pmDalleinf,Dalleinf wrote: ↑Thu Jun 20, 2019 6:48 amI ended cancelling my preorder for Megabass Triza for now - I ended up not really needing it.

Cancelled my Megabass too and ordered the 6'2" WiseStream. The action's description of "slow" worried me for something not intended for drifting for steel head.

Re: BFS Travel Rods?
Saw someone mention on FB that the Triza UL is in fact truly a slow rod. Glad I cancelled my order.

Re: BFS Travel Rods?
Well, I ordered/cancelled a few times, and ended up getting the MB Triza Aello.
Based on 5 minutes in the backyard and 90 minutes at local small stream: It is a very nice rod IMO.
It is pretty. Comes in a beautiful rod bag. Grey-ish blank with blue and turquoise wrappings, see pics.
It is however rated a bit poorly with regard to lure weight - not 1/32 to 3/16 oz but more 1/8 to 1/4 (almost 3/8) or thereabouts. It is also more much medium/regular action than slow IMO.
I will use it with inline spinners, spoons, minnows, and UL cranks targeting large trout and perch, and think it suits that purpose very well.
I will add some more info when I have used it some more.

Re: BFS Travel Rods?
I haven't had mine out yet, work has been crazy. I also have a new Long hair Dachshund that is eating up my time. I think it is going to suit my needs very well. 1/8 jerkbaits are a main stay for me. I am looking for a reel to put on this rod. What reel is that in the picture?Dalleinf wrote: ↑Fri Jul 19, 2019 12:58 pmWell, I ordered/cancelled a few times, and ended up getting the MB Triza Aello.

Re: BFS Travel Rods?
It is a megabass monoblock grigio stone with ZPI NRC001M spool. My “only” megabass rod and reel so far. I never really saw the need for megabass reels with the great “baseline” offerings from Daiwa (and Shimano, Abu etc). However, I really like round reels and just had to try one out. Price/performance-wise the reel does not hold up, but it is nice to behold.
Re: BFS Travel Rods?
Does anybody have feedback on the MH and H Triza models? Do these manufacturer rating seem right? I'd expect the Thunderbird to be a good worming and light jig rod. How does the Stym Palides compare to a bona fide Destroyer FMJ or P5 jig rod?

Re: BFS Travel Rods?
Older thread that somehow passed me by. I would definitely recommend looking into the Bone Voyage 634l BFS model. These blanks are the finest multi piece blanks I've discovered.
