any updates to the "it" factor?

Steez AGS 75MH/H Bottom Contact

How does this compare to the Nautilus? I’m a fan of the AGS lineup and have the 75MH on my radar, but also very curious about the Nautilus.

Also, no mentions of the P3 Bearing Down. Are there better offerings now?

Interesting question in regard to comparison between the AGS and the Nautilus. The Nautilus is one of my favorites.

Megabass 68xti f51/2 diablo evoluzion is so money for 110's, squarebills and weightless plastics. The rod feels weightless because of the balnance and it looks super ba.

Nrx 894c. Very sensitive, love the extra leverage I get out of the longer rod and the power/action are perfect for the bottom contact I do.

MB Faust handles ridiculously well for how powerful it is and i don't feel it misses a beat when it comes to sensitivity.

I'm pretty hyped on my steez ags 74 xh. The way it loads up pitching and casting jigs has me real stoked to throw a frog with it this weekend!

God the Oltree and RD talk is getting the bait monkey going. I really dont need another H power bottom contact rod.

TKIC Super Stallion - do all power techs and really fits my style of fishing. Incredible combination of lightness, power, casting prowess, sensitivity, backbone, beautiful design and versatile application.

My custom mahogany blank GLoomis CB845 has been an incredibly versatile and effective rod with braid/leader for trebles. From 3/16 topwaters to ripping 1/2 lipless and 3/8 poppers to shallow-mid cranks, and 3/8-1/2 walking baits and even 3/8-1/2 Kastmasters for trout. This is a blank that cannot be sent into irrelevancy.

Evergreen Heracles EG Swimming...in my hands it's the best bladed jig rod I ever owned for 3/8-3/4, fluoro or braid + leader (mostly for me), will also crank larger 3/8-1 oz squarebills, all the way to DD cranks, and then can walk 1/2-1 oz topwaters and handle 3/8 poppers, and even 1/2-5/8 spinnerbaits and buzzbaits. And this blank keeps trebles pinned well for the amount of backbone it has, while giving enough tip to allow for proper action of the chatterbait and cranks.

Megabass LWL Super Diablo II...this is my all-time favorite open water 1/2 oz spinnerbait rod, so long as the blades aren't oversized (typical size 6 and above), and it is also great for 3/8 -1/2 swimjigs with braid + leader, as well the large double footed guides are excellent for passing a connection knot. This model is also an aesthetically pleasing design, is lightweight, has a near perfect mod-fast parabolic MB-heavy power (more like MH + IMO) loading properties, and casts very well.

I just received a couple Luxxe Efreet, and both are XH, a B74XH-F (1/2 + jigs, 6/0+ beast hook swimbaits, heavy cover pitching and 1 oz + spinnerbaits) and B76XH-R (big heavy moving baits and small-medium swimbaits)...I have high hopes that these two may add to the list...I have had a difficult time finding XH rods that exhibit really "special" characteristics.

Indeed. They definitely have that "it" factor imo. Special feel I haven't experienced with any other blanks. I just picked up an Evergreen Black Raven Extreme. Haven't fished it yet, but I think it's gonna be special.

Nice! I read that PB blanks have a larger diameter that helps to resonate vibration and thus enhance sensitivity.

Yes. Butt section is over 14mm so you don't need arbor under reelseat. Grip also remains very thin = more lighter rod. Thick butt section with thin walls resonate bites and bottom contacts very well. I've built 701M, 703ML,731MXF and 731MHXF. All these were best rods i've ever tested. Customers are more than happy. Two of them ordered more PB's.

I have two IMX Pro rods and they are both incredible

both are 7'6 length and both rocket launcher casters

they are the IMX Pro MBR 903C and the SJR 901S

Sounds about right. Thicker blanks with thin walls. Resonance is definitely different from most everything I've used. More of a lasting affect, rather than a jarring affect. The blanks kinda sing to ya.

Good stuff...I've been curious about the PB for some time as well. K2 brittleness has always kept me from making a move on one.
