Conquest 903C vs Destroyer Javelin
Conquest 903C vs Destroyer Javelin
Hey TT,
I was looking to pick up another Javelin, but I've been also wanting to try out a new conquest 903. How do these two rods compare to each other? Any input on the 903C is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I own 2 CQ 903's paired with Steez SVTW's + 12 lb Shooter. I'm using them for 1/4 - 3/8 texas rig, jigs, 3/8 chatterbaits, 1/4 swimjigs, weightless swimsenko, senko, 1/2 lipless crankbait. For me 903 works very well with all of this applications. It's very sensitive and light. Using mine for light to medium cover. For heavy cover I like NRX 894 much better. I bought them because i like GLX 843 and needed longer rods with similar taper. Can't comment on Javelin. Don't own one. I like loomis warranty too.

Thank you for the input. How does the rod handle the top end of its rating?

I use my 903C mostly for texas rigs 1/4-1/2oz. Higher i use my 904C for flipping 1/2+.

I did try 1/2 texas rig on it. It worked fine for me in open water and light cover. Didn't try in thicker cover. In my opinion 1/2 jig is to much for 903. I think for 1/2 and up CNQ 904 or NRX 894 are the beasts.
