Which rod would you choose for skipping?

HI there,

my Megabass Spinnerbait Special broke and I am getting it replaced by Megabass. I used this rod for mainly target casting in short distances and also for skipping jigs and plastics.

I am wondering against which latest Orochi Model I should exchange it for (Jerkbait, Tour Versatile) or if I should sell it and go with a different brand.

I am looking here especially at:

* Shimano Expride A Casting Rod 6'6" Medium
* Shimano Expride A Casting Rod 6'8" Med Hvy

What are your thoughts?

Thanks,
Seb.

What cover ?

I like at least a mh or h for skipping docks and stuff. I use a 843 or 844 mostly.

Would be from sparse to some medium to heavier cover. Was planning to use braid to 15-17# Sunline Armilo leader for it on a Steez A with Steez SV TW spool.

Something under 7 feet with a nice, flexible tip, crisp action, and a lot of backbone. I think guys, and I'm guilty of this too, tend to get 6'6" pool cues for skipping and that makes it tougher. It needs a soft tip.
