ML Fast/Xfast recommendations

Post by chrisg_sdcf » Sun Oct 06, 2019 12:06 am

Want to drop fro M To ML fast or extra fast. Primarily soft plastics in the 3/16 to 3/8 oz range (maybe 1/2oz max but usually lighter). No more than $300 for now (also willing to buy used so you can recommend rods slightly over)

I have the 7' MLXF Villian 2.0. Up to 3/8 and its golden. I haven't tried anything over about 3/8 total, but the sensitivity is definitely there, and the rod is light and well-balanced, too.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

I think they are still available, but not 100% certain, though.

Works good with 3/8oz, I've bombed 3/8oz spybaits on this rod.

Awesome.

I just came across an old post of yours while searching for info on Phenix rods. Did you ever end up getting one or trying one?

My bad, my Villian 2.0 is 6-10, not 7'.
