I have one. Nice all around M+ rod. Throwing 3/8-1/2 oz spinnerbait is my fav then 4.5 inch shad tails, some bottom contacts.

i'm interested in austalian version..i thinks it's called shore competition. it has what looks like the old tds reel seat on it. rod ratings are the same as the steez flexlite m power. i have absolutely no idea how to get 1 here in the usa though

I'm pretty positive Japanese version and the AUS version are the same minus the reel seat and rear grip design. I do love the heartland style seat they use on the AUS steez rods, they look great. Shore competition are steez rod sub series supervised by kawamura kotaro, there are 3 models currently.

What are you throwing for bottom contact baits and how well is it in the sensitivity area?

Anything you would throw with M to some with MH. 3/8 jig with trailer is probably the heaviest i would tie on. Sensitivity is pretty good. It's an all around versatile stick, won't be the first rod i reach for bottom contact specific.
