7'6" Spinning Rods

I'm definitely picking up a 7'6" spinning Rod for Ned rigs and other finesse techniques. I'm seriously thinking of the Loomis Imx-Pro 901SJR. For me, I find the NRX 852S is a little too stiff in the tip. I primarily throw 1/16 oz. but will go up to a 1/8 and down to 1/20oz. I'd love to have the NRX 901S or the Daiwa Steez AGS 76MML but with the $Cdn./US exchange rate either would cost a small fortune. Other rods I'm considering are the St. Croix Legend Elite/Extreme ML/XF from what I've gathered has a soft tip. Megabass Destroyer Flyssa, Daiwa Tatula AGS and the Phenix Feather 7'7" light. I'm open to your guys feedback on these particular models or any other rod in a 7'6" length up to $400.

I own the 7'6 tatula ags and legend elite 7'6 mlxf. I'd go with the legend elite personally. The tatula ags is a very very nice rod, but for a ned rod I'd take the st croix. The st croix has better sensitivity IMO.

I've got a NRX 901 and it's a fine rod, soft but with lots of power. I can go down to 1/16.

Thanks. The Flyssa is one of the rods I'm considering. Do you prefer the NRX or the Flyssa?

Perhaps consider saving up a bit more and buying the Steez AGS 76MML. If your budget is already at $400, and you're in Canada so presumably season is over or close to it, you could be ready to go by spring. Do it once and do it right, the rod is that good. I can offer info on getting one to you in Canada if you are interested...

The Flyssa is lighter in power than the 76MML, comfortable to fish, not quite as versatile for things like shaky heads, senko, etc. due to the lighter power. It is a great spy bait rod however!

The Croix LE ML 76 (and others) have a great blank, but horribly uncomfortable reel seat in my hands which is too bad because I really like the rods otherwise.

Absolutely. The St Croix handle design department need a swift kick in the 'nads. I had to replace mine.

Add the fact st croix doesn’t trim the reel seat threads. Which is a sin for a company like them.

Much appreciate all the feedback everyone. I'm still leaning towards the Imx-pro.

I figured it would cost me between $800-900 Cdn. all said and done. The exchange, duty, G.S.T., etc. I have other high end spinning rods that cover the upper lure weight range of the Steez AGS 76MML.
