MB Destroyer Javelin vs Poison Adrena MH

Post by jerkbait22 » Mon Dec 30, 2019 4:07 am

Looking for a versatile rod that can fish traps and medium to deep crankbaits along with single hook reaction baits such as chatterbait, spinnerbaits and keitechs on 3/8-1/2oz jigheads.

I’m leaning towards the javelin after reading Cal’s review. What is the top end you can push this rod to? Will it cast baits up to 1.5oz safely?

Which is the more all around rod? I have one from each series (FMJ and PA611M+) and I really love both.

I think you'll be very happy with the Javelin. I've thrown med/deep cranks, spinnerbaits, big topwaters, bottom contact, and 168 Swavers without issue. Definitely my most versatile rod.

The Javelin rod is a very versatile rod. I have had mine for two seasons. There are not many techniques you cannot use it for.

The Javelin is my favourite in the casting lineup for the destroyers. It certainly is very versatile and good at almost everything in its weight range. Also, I find it has great sensitivity too.
