Those orange glass rods from a few years ago are nice, and they came out with the Mojo fiberglass rods that are cool too.

Rods are made of graphite not carbon fiber.

Uh, graphite is just carbon, and graphite rods are absolutely made of a fibrous form of carbon. It's just layers of uni-directional carbon fibers that are used, as opposed to woven carbon fibers that you're probably thinking of (and which the AGS guides are made of). But they're still carbon fibers, impregnated with resin, and therefore a carbon fiber composite; they don't just take some ground up graphite from a pencil, mix it with resin, and shape it into a rod, you need the fibrous form in order to have any strength to it. You can also have other types of carbon fiber composites, such as shredded carbon fiber, marbled carbon fiber, or even carbon fiber reinforced plastic (which is injection molded plastic with very fine carbon fibers) is sometimes referred to as a carbon fiber composite; I supposed you could loosely call them graphite composites, but carbon fiber composite is more appropriate.

I'm excited to hear feedback on the new Legend Xtremes. I was in the 'underwhelmed' crowd with the first generation of Steez Compile-X sticks. The new iteration of the Steez line, with AGS guides, are getting rave reviews from very reputable sources. I already loved St. Croix's SCV blank, and am stoked to hear if the magic from the new Steez line carries over the the new Xtremes due to the new guides.

Pencils are made of carbon fibers aka graphite but they dont say it's made of carbon fiber but graphite.

I need more models. The ones they are offering don’t have much appeal to me.

rods are not on the light side that's for sure. 7' MH listed as 5.5oz.

That's one I handled as well and for me, it's far less about the overall weight of the rod and more about the balance. The 74H in this series balances better than any of the other Legend models, which is a significant improvement in my opinion.

So the blanks are the same as the previous gen but they added AGS guides and the marketing team is portraying the rod's sensitivity like it's the second coming of christ?

Appreciate that comment. If u have a pic of the balancing point with a real mounted on, that'd be awesome. Also, do u by any chance have a sensitivity comparison to say a NRX or equivalent? Thx
