New Poison Adrena models listed on TW
New Poison Adrena models listed on TW
I see they’ve added a 6’10m glass model, 7’2m, and a 7’4H action to the lineup. Release date is March 21. I have the previous gen 7’2m & it’s a great vision 110 rod for me in the winter, then in the summer a awesome weightless fluke rod. The 7’4H is the rod I’m most interested in. Not saying I have any issues with my current nrx 873crr BUT I think that 7’4H is going to be a spot on replacement. I fished the 7’3mh Adrena once in a tourney last year using a Texas rig & sensitivity was nothing short of GREAT

Yeah...I noticed that yesterday. Folks are getting a monoque in their shorts for these rods.

it has the 7'2 medium as regular action. do you guys think it will be more of a cranking rod type such as super limber, or will it be a more powerful regular tapered rod?

Re: New Poison Adrena models listed on TW
whats everyone's overall opinions on these rods in general as far as quality.. sensitivity etc. ? reason why im asking is im looking into possibly picking up the 163L BFS model. i own the Poison Ultima 162L-S and absolutely love that rod but im looking to buy an extra rod that i dont have to worry about as much while hiking some of the trails and woods and such getting down to the creeks to fish for smallies. thanks!

I wondered how the current 7’3 was compared to the current 7’2”
In short I’m hopeful that the new 7’4” is the answer to what I’m looking for in the line up. I have the 6’11 and I think the 6’10 glass will be a jerkbait rod.
But will it be better than the expride that is most definitely a hot ticket item.
I’m just hopeful at this point

Wondering about the 7'4 model myself - it's listed as regular/fast taper. Will it be more of a flipping stick or something more moderate for big reaction baits?
Re: New Poison Adrena models listed on TW
I would think it is as powerful as the 73XH Expride but less of a pool cue. So probably along the lines of a shorter flipping stick, as you are saying.jerkbait22 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2020 4:26 amWondering about the 7'4 model myself - it's listed as regular/fast taper. As much as I like the 7’2” models I believe that they need more back bone not that I have needed more backbones when using it is I’ve been using them but I would like a little bit more back bone probably a tad bit so I’m looking for something a bit more stout in that lineupruss57 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2020 9:49 amI would think it is as powerful as the 73XH Expride but less of a pool cue.
