Rod for Steez
Rod for Steez
I just purchased a steez sv tw and I’m try to decide whether to use it on my fmj or nrx 853. The fmj will be for jigs, chatterbaits etc and the nrx will be for senkos and Shakey heads.

Re: Rod for Steez
Cant really go wrong either way. I would put the faster of the two reels (Steez or the other reel) on the NRX. I like fast reels for baits I move with my rod. I slow it down with moving baits like chatterbaits and such

From my experience the Steez was too light to fish with the FMJ for an extended period of time. To me the FMJ felt better with a heavier reel

I'd opt for the NRX between those two choices. I like the OG Steez platforms for medium to heavy resistance baits.
Re: Rod for Steez
Put it on the nrx for jigs and senkos. I used an sv tw sh for jackhammers on an nrx 843 once or twice in a pinch and I felt way too many vibrations through the reel. Used a steez a sh instead just so my hand wouldnt go numb after awhile.

Thanks guys, I put it on the NRX today and it felt amazing can’t wait to go try it out hopefully this weekend.
