My buddy fished the heck out of his 6'10" ML spinning Xtreme on the St. Lawrence this week and he is still blown away by the sensitivity.

I love my 7'4 heavy, I use it for jigs and other bottom contact lures and the sensitivity is out of this world

Is anyone throwing braid to leader with these rods? If so, how is it working out? I'm wondering about guide sizing.
thanks

I use the Fg knot

The st croiX have larger guides than the steez Ags

Thank you! Was hoping to hear that.
A Dobyns Xtasy 755 just showed up at my door. Think I’ll order this Xtreme 7’4”, compare the two and make a decision.

Wish they made a longer model.

If you are a NRX fan I would wait and see the new NRX and compare it with the legend xtreme. Im sure you would not regret either.

Am I the only one that heard bad things about these? A friend has a deal through Croix and said the shimano Andrea blows it away. He got a casting and spinning model to test and hated them to the point he turned them back in and told the rep that who ever designed it must have been high and drunk. I have not handled one myslef yet tho.

I've heard mixed reviews on these rods overall, and repeated disappointment over the heavier power rods in the series. A friend says his Legend Elite is more sensitive than the 2020 Extreme. He says the Extreme is crazy-light, though.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

oh wow. i wonder if it's like nrx, in that some models are noticeably more sensitive than others

I’ve heard the same
I’m waiting to see the TT in depth review
Hopefully that will give more insight
