Late to this

I have the BC and 74 Ags

Both are great

For most Texas and jig fishing I prefer the BC

I use the 74 Mainly with 3/4oz Texas and frogs
I’ve heard about the frog fishing on that rod (74)
How’s it with jigs of the same weight compared to the BC ?
How do you rate them in terms of sensitivity one over the other?

I feel it’s more a function in choosing the rod based on weight of the lure your want to fish. To me the bc is a better true jig rod but I don’t fish a ton of jigs more Texas rigs.

What’s your go to jig weight?

I’m really late to this party but “the” jig rod in my arsenal is my custom wrapped Phenix K2 715. I’ve had that rod for years and haven’t even “thought“ about replacing it. And talk about light. Paired up with a Steez or my TD Ito, the combo, I believe, is under 10 oz. I told a buddy that this combo (with fluoro) is so sensitive, I can feel a fish fart. :big grin:

I love my Megabass, Steez, and other Phenix rods, but this IS my jig rod.
