Looks like TackleWarehouse has removed all NRX models from their store except for the ones they still have in stock. Dunno if that meets something :) As I write this the only models they list are the 802S JWR and 852S JWR (spinning) and the 802C JWR and 853C JWR (casting).
That's true. Other stores (TheHookUpTackle, Americanlegacyfishing) seem to have more models in stock still.

I had a call with a guy at G.Loomis yesterday over the phone. He said that he did not know when the new NRX were coming.

I also asked him a couple of NRX specific questions. In his words: There is no difference between the 803, 853 and 893. The length would be the only differentiating thing.

So, not sure how much I should trust a guy that has so little understanding of their rod line up...

sounds like a traditional prostaffer.

remember, the NRX was "tested" before it was released.

(which we all know, by the amount of failures, was a complete falsehood).

It was likely 'tested' by these staffers.

What are the big differences between the 3 models besides the length???

Sounds about right to me, all of them are 3 power, they are all ex-fast and they all have the same ratings... :-k

Yeah, but that information I can extract from the spec sheet. I was hoping that I would get a bit more info on the nuances of the rod.

For example that the 893 is in many opinions more sensitive than the 853 and has comparably more power.

Maybe I am asking for too much here...

You're not asking for to much, I was told the NRX 852C was way to light for any kind of bass fishing.
Its been the best tube rod I have ever used..

That's one of the reasons I love this site is for the info on all gear.

Someone on the BBC forum just posted this:

I just used Expediter on a discontinued NRX MBR843C. They are replacing it with an "NRX +" Haven't seen or heard of them and can't find anything online. I had assumed they would have replaced it with a conquest 843C, but am pretty excited about them bringing the MBR line back to the NRX. Let you know when it shows up.

Gussy kept on saying he was using a 872 NRX, but it looked like the rod he was using had a Conquest reel seat. I wonder if it was the new NRX.

It seems they changed the NRX ECS-style-trigger to the Conquests trigger somewhen during the last year. Saw pics of it on a shops website that just then started to stock NRXes and a bit later with someone selling his rod he got there, both here in Germany. So based on what you’re saying it should just be a NRX that came from the factory recently. No clue who Gussy is

...I think the Conquest trigger looks cheap :(

He's a professional bass fisherman that just won a tournament. I watched a couple of YouTube clips and I was wrong. He had a Conquest on his deck, but he was using an NRX 872 that had the original handle.

Tacklewarehouse is no longer selling any NRX rods (spinning and casting both have been removed). Americanlegacyfishing still has almost all NRX in stock.
