Post by doomtrprz71 » Sun Sep 06, 2020 7:04 am

I wonder if these new rods are blanks they rolled instead of NFC?

Appears to say "crafted in USA." Those looser terms always leave room for different interpretations. Makes me wonder if it's an overseas blank that's assembled in TX, or if they actually build it up from scratch here in the states.

I haven’t seen the final price on the series but Trey me mentioned these to me back in June as somethjng he was working on, a new budget series.

I think it’s safe to say it’s highly unlikely a factory rod can be built on a US made blank these days for less than $200 ... probably even more.

It’s also safe to say there are a lot of quaility rods made from blanks rolled in China or even other countries. It all comes down to the factory making those blanks.

So guess we’ll see. I can’t make a judgement until I have a stick in my hands 🤷‍♂️

This. I'm sure the blank is sourced from China. Possibly other components as well. Kistler likely assembles in house.
