Another option would be a St Croix Legend Tournament 8'6" MLXF rod, I have one with a Sustain 3000 and I love it for fishing from shore, its rated for 1/8-1/2 oz lures. I wrote a review on that rod and how it compares to the Dobyns Champion 7'9" ML spinning rod which is another good choice.
