I really think I need to add a steez AGS 7’6 MML to my collection. Currently have 1 spinning rod, the addermine. The steez should compliment nicely being so versatile. I welcome any and all suggestions if there is a better option I’m missing.

Main uses would be Ned rigs, Neko rigs, and small swimbaits.

What weight Ned’s ? I have to ask as they’ve grown from the original prescription. Just curious.

I fish them a bit along with a ton of finesse stuff on spins and have never found a Loomis of some sort that I couldn’t match to conditions. Just asking.

Thank you sir. I figured heavier than I use for them that’s why I always ask nowadays. Ten years ago I didn’t have to.

Your "problem" is that it's a legitimately great rod, and I don't actually regret my purchase. It's very sensitive and has a crazy weight range, which makes it versatile. It does feel a bit awkward to me (the big AGS guides contribute to that feel), it feels a bit noodly, I really dislike the hook keeper, and I'm not a huge fan of EVA handles (I can fix cork gashes and nicks, but if EVA gets slashed, it stays broken). But the 761MML does stuff that I can't do with other rods, it does it excellently, and it fills a hole in my arsenal (I was looking for a long-range, deep-water DS rod from shore). Sounds like it might do the same for you.

Buy it! If you like the addermine you'll like the AGS line. The 7-6 covers a lot of techniques. Comfortable handle and great craftsmanship as well.

I really like the 7’6” spinning rods and the AGS mml is my favorite.
