I got the teaser too. Hopefully more sensitive and less tip heavy than the Legend Tournament series. St Croix might actually get some of my money... looking forward to holding one in my local Cabela's which are massive St Croix shops.

Thinking high end or next gen of the mojo?

Edit: upon closer inspection, they flash the "made in USA" logo and the the completely solid black tip to the butt end of the cork seems like it would be an update to the Avid. The legend series has more of a grey-cork composite going on in the same place.

I noticed the black fore grip as well...at first I too though maybe a new LT series, but that dark material (EVA?) threw me for a loop.

I was also hoping for a retooled LT. SC4 with better balance.

Didn’t the avid come out absolute ages ago though? I think it’s makes sense for them to update that line too.

But a new LT would be even cooler.

Good question. I was wondering about that as well. Without knowing what years both were last revamped, off the top of my noggin, I think maybe the current Avid is a year or so older than the current LT bass series.

But then how will we get the chance to speculate about wild ideas and possibilities? It’s more fun this way.

Maybe an updated Avid X line?
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

I am just hoping they get the quality under control. I have had a few stcroixs and while I have found them to be great rods I certainly do not want to look at them. The wrappings are horrible. If they can roll down the quality from some of their top-end it might be worth my money.

Seems like a new Avid X. What's interesting is that some of the rods shown seem to have an EVA foregrip/lock nut like Kistler, but other rods have cork foregrips. I'm not sure what to make of it. But they have my attention.

Gotta say I am not excited. Clearly not an Avid X replacement as it has giant crappy guides on the spinning rod. Yes, I am a guide snob, but if you can't put Fuji KLH guides (or even kigan copy) on a rod over $200, something is wrong. When the guides weigh 2-3 times as much as they should, it throws off the whole rod. Strange that they would make what appears to be an enthusiast rod with such old school guides. Leave those for the cheap rods and the Avid for the old timers.
