Interesting arsenal, very streamlined, me likey, appeals to my minimalist tendencies. I know it's an old thread, but I've been thinking (ocd'ing) about re-tooling entirely to a single brand myself and was curious about your usage on the casting rods.
Apologies for the delay in getting back to you.
I do like keeping at least within a brand, it’s like they’re singing from the same songbook. I added a couple of JDM Daiwa Steez rods because of the whole drop in Yen value BUT the Machinegun Cast I is NOT the Tak crankin’ stick for med and deep crankin’ but it’s great for the OSP HPF baits and lighter Blitz baits.
I’m getting use to the JDM Steez Harrier because I need a decent rod for football jigs in deep water and pitchin’/skippin’.
There’s something about crankin’ rods for American preferences in the mid and deep range that’s just works.
