Flyssa Vs Baby Plugging?
Baby plugging vs Flyssa
I have the Flyssa but wondering if the Baby Plugging is lighter in action?
The flyssa is rated 1/16 to 3/8 oz and is a 2.5 power.
the Baby Plugging is 3/32 to 7/16 oz and is a 1.5 power.
The lure rating to power confuses me a bit between the two.
Thanks a ton.

I watched it but it didn't really answer my question.Phippy wrote: ↑Wed Apr 14, 2021 6:16 pmhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYZ0mgzupnY&t=1828s
Fast forward to around 29.30 for your answer.

My take from it is probably fishes a little heavier than its rating thus why he says ignore the specs of the rod. To me that means fishes very similar to the Flyssa 2.5 power. Anyways I have a Baby Plugging on order from TackleTrap but can't compare since I've never handled the Flyssa.BRONZEBACK32 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 15, 2021 3:13 pmI watched it but it didn't really answer my question.Phippy wrote: ↑Wed Apr 14, 2021 6:16 pmhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYZ0mgzupnY&t=1828s

Best bet is to reach out to Gary at TT since he probably has had hands on both.

How do you guys lime the Flyysa? Havent felt or fished with one but I'm always on the lookout for the best 7'6" spinning rods!
Re: Flyssa Vs Baby Plugging?
so i just got my baby plugging, but i am impressed so far. there is nothing to the rod, really, 3 little cork rings and a skeleton reel seat, and not much for bling, but thats awesome in my opinion! i always liked the looks of the old shimano cumara spinning rods, and this is pretty similar (better imo) looking. i wasnt able to get a fish on it yet, but i was able to feel any grass and rocks i was hitting. i will be putting a ton of time on this rod coming up with small swimbaits (2.6-3" on a 1/16-3/16 jig heads) and will report back further about these rods.
on my scale the flyssa weighed 4.514oz, the baby plugging 3.334oz, super light for a 7'2" rod! i paired it with a 2000s-p daiwa luvias airity, balance is just about perfect and the combo weighs under 9oz.
