I have the machine gun cast type 1, 2, 3 and like all three of them. Im sure those are some nice rods as well.

How is the type 2 specifically? I was interested in this due to length for cover scats. Is it good for soft plastics and light jigs? It seems to be marketed more towards spinnerbaits/wire baits in vids, but lists multiple techniques. I'd like to stay at 6'6" preferably, since I have almost every other length rod.

Only took the type 2 out a couple times and so far I have been casting jerkbaits and jika rigs but its definitely the versatile one between those three. All three have the same sensitively for me when fishing bottom contact and if I remember correctly, all three of them are below 4oz as well.

Thanks. Sensitivity good to you for bottom applications?

Got them in today and I’m extremely pleased.
What is that F->S taper like? I'm actually considering waiting around for a Badger or Blackjack.

yeah that is how the taper is listed... Don't worry, it's strange! I'm totally in the dark as to what that might mean let alone how it would feel on the water.

is it something similar to multi-taper and rod just bends deeper into the blank under load? if so some other makers have similar taper just different names

The 'FF' taper was a new one to me. I figured it meant 'F**kin' fast'

Haha...I'll cast my vote here as well.

The Harrier has no tip its all power IMHO. Its light sensitive and Power- full
The Top gun upper 1/3 or so is tip but quickly gets into the backbone of the rod
The top gun is the most versatile of the two and the Sh can be a Jackall Kaera Frog rod for sure
I hope this helps been a long day and week
