Racing Design Texas Rig Special

Post by goldrod » Tue Apr 11, 2023 5:14 pm

Been fiddling around with this rod

I was thinking of using it as a fluke rod but I’ve been unsuccessful
So before it goes away wanted to know what’s got technique for this rod

I know we are all joking about the RD Texas Rig Special, but I find that I rarely ever use it compared to my RD Hustler Finesse Tunes, RD Jigga Sticks, and especially the EG RSR! I haven't relegated the RD Texas Rig Special to long-term rod storage but if the new Shimano 22 Poison Ultima 170MH performs as well as I expect it will this season, that might be the ultimate fate for the RD Texas Rig Special at the end of the fishing season. :crying:

Well, let me know about either the Texas Rig or the Jigga Stick. I have been eyeing them up for a while

I suspect that I might get lynched by one of my fishing buddies if I ever entertained the thought of selling any of my RD Jigga Sticks which are "his favorite JDM casting rods" but who knows, the future is uncertain, and all things are possible!

Oh I know and understand sir, but for me having access to several Sedition SDC-69HHR-FTW Hooligans muddies the water even more and usually at the expense of the RD Texas Rig Special!
