Hi,
I'm looking for a new swimbait rod, for throwing something between 2 1/2 and 6 1/2 Oz. Most of the time will be with trebble hooks swimbaits, and want to ask about the Gloomis IMX 966c, because there is no much information in the forums about this rod, or I can't find what I need to read.
First of all, do you think that this rod can handle confortably those wheigts?
Also, I can see that only first 3 or 4 first guides are with double foot and next guides to the top are single foot. Do you think that this guides could have enough strength for a heavy duty use? Do you know the material of the rings and the frame of this guides?
Finally, have you got any information about the reel seat brand and about its quality?
What I have heard about the rod weight and balance is that the rod feels good in your hands, but have you got the exact weight?
Thank you in advance for your help!!

the reviews are very good.
its an IMX Pro so the reel seat will be Fuji with Fuji alconite guides.
I have two IMX Pro rods (not swimbait models) and they are amazing
caught my first muskie on my imx pro MBR903c this past summer oh yeah

Re: Gloomis IMX 966C
I have the Gloomis 904C SWBR and it's rated 1/2 to 3. It handles 3/4 to 3oz very well. It's 7'6" and rated mod-fast like the 966C. I think the 966C will deliver 2.5 to 6.5 oz with no problem. It will make a nice live shiner rod as well if you go that route.

Thank you very much for your feedback!
I'll pull the trigger with this rod. Now the second thing to solve is to choose if to pair it with a Ryoga 1520H or a Conquest 200 DC.
