Hello all. Not much info on this rod. BFS release before bfs was trending? Any idea what it’s worth?

Re: Megabass jadepython fine shootist info
Looks very similar to the F1.5 63xti Espada from the same era. Mine is more of a plug rod with more of a "stream rod" build than what I would consider BFS. The handle is too short and the rod bends down to the reel seat too much to be a BFS rod. While it's not a trout rod it's certainly not like an L powered BFS rod I have owned. Too soft. The "shootist" name may give some insight to the nature of the rod. I wonder if it is a reference to that crazy whipping cast japanese anglers would make in tight quarters stream fishing? I have similar vintage "fast shooting model" flipping stick and that name references the rod's ability to load the tip and pitch a light bait which at the time was kind of unique. Only the man the myth the legend Yuki Ito would know what he meant with that name and what makes it different from an Espada.

If you're a collector of these old sticks then I'd day get it. Seems like a rare one and that price is Espada money.

I appreciate all the info. Looks very much like the espada. It’s a cool little rod but I’m not a collector and I have no use for it. Hoping to find it a new home
