New Revos
Was trying a last second memorial day buy and watched the hooked up tackle release the new revos! I have
to say the new premier looks hard to resist. What do you guys think?

Re: New Revos
Nice, any info on them? I'll prob end up getting one in the lineup at some point.
Re: New Revos
There will definitely be a new premier in my future. Very nice.
Re: New Revos
I just bought a T3 this past weekend and my 4th MGX a month ago ...

What kind of brakes are on the SX and STX?

Re: New Revos
STX is my new favorite, as I dig the look & the weight is about the same as the first gen Premier. And the 8:1 Gear ratio might be my new frog reel. The new Premier looks good, but I'm not sure the IVCB & tiny bit of weight loss is worth the extra $80. Don't like the look of the new Winch at all, I actually dig the blue on the current model & if I can find one for cheap, I'll pick up another, although specs seem nice. Didn't see where it said what the braking system on the SX & Winch are, so kind of interested in seeing that.
Overall, I'm pretty impressed, although I'm not a huge fan of dumping aluminum for the C6 across the board, but I'm sure they're built tough & should stand up to a beating like their previous models... Hopefully. The 8:1 STX will be mine, now to decide on a new frog rod to mount it on.

STX has the Infiniti Brake System, AKA dual braking. I can't find where it says anything about the SX or Winch.mainevent wrote:What kind of brakes are on the SX and STX?

Re: New Revos
I guess that I'll be the first to say it. They look exactly like the JM Carbonlites. I know and understand that they more than likely come from the same oem plant in Korea. But hey, bps released it first. So who's knockin who off now..... Just messing with you guys. Lets hope that A.G. put more thought into their r'n'd than bps did.

Re: New Revos
I'm hoping this is a typo. A carbon FRAME on an STX? That's bordering on blasphemy. The new Gen 3 Revo STX has been completely re-designed, and is made of a carbon frame
Plus, I'm not digging the new look. They remind me of the MAX series of reels.
Re: New Revos
I like the looks of the stx but I agree with the carbon frame. Unacceptable as far as im concerned maybe it will be ok though.facelessnewsouth wrote:I'm hoping this is a typo. Re: New Revos
I don't have any issues with the carbon side plates however given the choice I'd stick w/ the old revos. The winch with carbon side plates? hmm if you chuck deep divers I wonder if the side plates gona make some noise.facelessnewsouth wrote:I'm hoping this is a typo. A carbon FRAME on an STX? Re: New Revos
Id be willing to try them.
I am 100% sure I will prefer the all aluminum models though. Especially at the "closeout" pricing.

Well I just ordered one, no idea how long it will take to get. I ordered a stx, and I have a bunch of gen 2 revos to compare it to. I am excited about it though, just hoping it still feels sold with that carbon frame, but I know I will like the weight differance.
