2012 Calcutta D

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

2012 Calcutta D

Post by Lowdog » Tue Jul 03, 2012 5:06 pm

Ok, so I'm old school and still like round reels for crankin'. Can anyone tell me if Shimano USA plans on coming out with a 100 version of this reel. I had the opportunity to play with the 200 D series already and love it. I know that JDM has it but it's considerably more with the exchange rate issue. Thanks in advance.

Do you remember if the spool on the D was drilled? With holes down the center like the other new reels?
