Daiwa cv-x 203LA upgrade

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Hello
I am looking to upgrade my cv-x 203 LA with a shallow spool and better bearigs.
But what spoole fits my reel?
And is ther a shallow spoole to fit my Daiwa HSTA153?

I do not know about your CV-X, but there are few (practically none) spool options for the 153HSTA. If you do a forum search for 153HST, you'll find some other Daiwa reels came with a slightly deeper/shallower spool, but the only shallow spool for this platform appears the be this: http://forums.tackletour.com/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=46931 I am assuming it will fit the TD-A platform, as it fits the Alphas 150, but I'd double check before buying one :roll:
