Project reels

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

What are your current and future reel projects?
I saw a sol on here that really made me want to jump in and do one. I am just not sure of all the available upgrades to do one.
My last reel project was an curado 50E and my next will be my metanium. I just would like to get it painted really so I am not sure if that can be considered a project.
That being said, for JDM spools for shimano reels, do you have to purchase the breaking mechanism separately? Also what is the shallowiest complete spool I can get for my metanium/core ?

please post pictures of your projects if you have them. That solzilla with that silver spool is great work.. I am looking at a PE shallow spool for my zillion as well.
