New shimano ci4?

Considering all the new models have X-ship the ci4 is behind the curve and due for a overhaul

X-ship is not the only reason why the USDM Ci4 needs an overhaul. X-ship is not IMO, what will bring Shimano's current lineup "up to date" either, as this design has been around for a long time.

Where exactly has this feature been in spinning reels in the past?

Was talking to my local Shimano rep and was told that this year at icast a new Ci4 with X-ship will be released, and also a Chronarch Ci4, which is going to be priced in right around $280

Same word from ours, Chronarch CI4 right close to the $300 mark. The nice thing is he said there is a "low profile" 50 and 100 size, not like the Core 100 so well see how the shape has changed...no word about being like the calcutta

So wrong it made me laugh.

I like all the speculation but there is a lot of wrong info. ICAST is about a month away. I will have the data up on the site again like always. I will be at ICAST this year, so the post may not be as good as usual. It's a lot easier to do from my computer at work instead of my IPAD.
