Tatula by megabass? Would you...

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Tatula by megabass? Would you...

Post by Afrayedknot » Thu Jan 30, 2014 1:06 pm

I am going to make this poll with the hopes that the people at megabass see it.. :D

Would you want to see a Megabass version of the tatula, either 100 (us) or 103 (jdm)?

Only if it has a shallow spool and costs under $300.

I must be one of the few that is not impressed by the Tatula. I guess I'm spoiled.

The tatula is great for it's price, but only excels at casting stuff over 3/8 oz. Tie on a 1/2 oz swim jig or something and barely swing. It will go a mile.

I use mine under 3/8 without issue. It's not ideal, but more than capable.

I agree. Would rather see a new Steez or Zillion with the T-wing and maybe 3-d braking. Looks like it may be on the way.

I think I would skip and spend the money on the new Daiwa SS SV.

Zillion with T-Wing/3-D Braking? Did you read that somewhere or see prototype pics? Or am I misunderstanding/hearing what I want to hear?

Sorry, wasnt clear. Meant the Steez looks like it may be coming one day with T-wing as others have said with the sideplate cut outs on the new reels. Am hoping the Zillion follows suit with the same and maybe 3d braking on both. Seems strange they wont put this braking in other reels than the Z and the T-3.

I have been throwing the Duo 80 Spybait with a Tatula with excellent results. Just have to have the right rod.....

While it would be nice, the new Steez side plates do not really have a cut out in them but just depressions (possible to cut weight)
