Curado "I" made in Japan??

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Curado "I" made in Japan??

Can one of you lucky owners confirm manufactured in location? I don't think I've seen it mentioned yet. I have converted my entire arsenal to made in Japan reels and need 1 more reel and it doesn't have to be high end. Thanks.

Thanks guys. I know Bantam toured the facility there and said it's top notch, but I had a goal years ago to go made in Japan only (which meant lots of $$ for the spinning reels). Guess I could make an exception, or keep my Chronarch 201e5. Thanks again.

I was the same way till I picked up a T3 1016. Now I don't care anymore. Rumor has it the new Scorpion is made in Japan, but not confirmed. I'm curious where the SS SV is made.

yeah i didnt like seeing malaysia on the bottom when i got it :| but i have to say i really like the reel but only time will tell though. I still get down at the fact that i look at the citica e and it is even japan.

You could always go the scorpion route. That's what I'm doing.
It should be made in Japan(well... they always have been before). Might want to check with bantam1 to make sure tho, if that's important to you. I prefer reels made in Japan as well but I guess I could make an exception for the right reel.

Edit- I'll ask in the shim support forum, im curious now.

Don't count on that, I wouldn't be surprised if its made in maylasia too. Not gonna stop me from picking one up though lol

Just got my Scorpion 200 yesterday. It's made in Malaysia. Still, a pretty sweet reel.

:lol: i just now saw this :lol: in the context of shimano/daiwa, yes jdm only....as for my okumas, those are an exception because i am well connected 8-)
