Got my Tatula R yesterday....

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Awesome reel. You will be very happy. Great Daiwa product without that "Daiwa price".

I share your sentiments. My Tat R is as smooth as any reel I've ever owned.

I love my tatula. All I wish is that the spool could be lighter. Hopefully the SV spool from the PE SV is lighter so we can source a few of those.

Tatula Type R is among my favorite reels. I ended up selling my Curado and Chronarch CI4+ because I liked the Type R so much. For the prices you can find these on the net, it's just stupid; absolute no brainer. I threw some ceramic lightning knob bearings and OS7 spool bearings in mine, it's a super smooth casting machine now.

I have several Tatula and Tatula Type-R reels and haven't got to fish them much yet but what little fishing I have done with them I have been very impressed with them.
