Casting Help!

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Definitely do not give up...the Alphas is a MUCH better reel than any BPS reel...once you master it you will never go back!

The reel is incredible, zero complaints there. The rest is up to me. I will say though that the BPS Prolite was a decent little reel to learn with. It is much better than many of the reels most guys try to start with.
The quality difference is readily apparent as soon as you pick up the Alphas, but the Prolite at least gives you a similar casting experience. For someone starting out it would be tough to find a better $40-50 reel.
