So I am sick of my reel feet getting scuffed by aluminum nuts. I love my new Edge rod, but the nut already tore into my Alphas 105H. I went to two layers of blue painter's tape and that works per say. But I wanted better...Here is what I think I will be trying next.
I got the idea from my new car's clear bra

Re: Reel foot protection
Is the scratch coming from the side or the top? the one on the corner is the hardest to protect. I used UHMW tape from mcmaster before with good result, but the tape don't stay on for long if you keep changing rods.
Re: Reel foot protection
Keep us updated on your results. I'm interested as well.

Re: Reel foot protection
From reading the post on that link for reel foot protections Africanbass seems to only recommend it for the T3 family. I wonder if anyone else has ordered them for other Daiwas. I need some for Steez and Alpha platforms ASAP. I should revive that thread.
