Daiwa's Icast releases

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

I'm very skeptical... how can the new Steez retail for $200 less than the discontinued Steez EX if they're virtually identical as has been suggested here? That is a substantial price drop! Surely replacing the Magnesium (gear) sideplate with Zaion does not equate to a $200 reduction. What am I missing here?

Guessing that STeez EX has not been produced in over a year now. Have you seen the Dollar to Yen in past year?

Original Steez was 450, before they decide to bump up the price.

Competition would be a good reason. That, and they will probably raise the price of the steez after a year or so as they did with the steez and zillion too I believe.

Daiwa website updated....well kinda...the SV Steez is a mess...9.1 or 8.1 ...... ? No mention of micro click on tension knob on a steez...which pretty much tells me that they have just missed it in print and it is there and probably on the 103sv also. They missed it on the original release info on the T3's also and it was there.

No specific info on the AGS rods and anyone know what are the new actions on the zillions that are mentioned...other then the 7-1 ML Crank Rod...I cannot tell what is new for 2015 in the Zillion line.
