SV 103?

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

The bigger corporation more stupid they are in own decisions and market research. Same thing how reel makers are not making many models in lefty retrieve, however according to guys like Kazu from his selling experience, "As for world wide 70% left and 30% right hand" and usually lefties are getting quicker to sell out.
Besides this forum maybe it's not really a big interest for that reel.
I'm now thinking they must be doing this to create some hype over their product in hopes to increase sales. I wish they would stop screwing around and release them though. I'm not daiwa bashing but I just don't see why its taking so long to release when after all its just a classic zillion body reel with a new SV spool. Maybe I should drown my sorrows and buy a metanium DC. :D

Waited 4 mos since ICAST and can't wait another month? Nothing has changed...even back in August Daiwa gave it a December/January release when I called a week after ICAST.

The SV103 ain't the reel you're looking for (waving hand, using jedi mind tricks) you can go about your business, move along, move along.

I think one of us intending to buy the sv103 aka SV spooled Zillion needs to start a thread so we can have a race to see who gets one first!!!

You shouldn't just have to be the first to get one and to show it, you should have to fish it and do a thorough review on it. You better have a body of water nearby if you are going to win that contest. :D

The real contest is who's going to put the spool into an OG Zillion.

Well you can just put a Steez SV 103 spool in a Zillion with spacers now. It appears to be the same spool looking at pictures.

Not the same spool. The difference would be the same difference as an OG Zillion or TDZ 100M vs. a TDZ 103 or a Steez. Zillion spools are a larger O.D. than steez or tdz 103.

It has been discussed a lot that it looks like they modified the Zillion frame to fit the Steez spool. I guess time will tell.

If same frame...then why the spacers? And why would you need a Steez 103 SV spool ?
It will already have a 103 SV spool?

Has anyone ordered and received an SV 103, yet? I called Tackle Direct and was told I could have one in 3 - 8 business days. Can anyone confirm this? Also, if you have one, what are your impressions of the reel?
