Steez EX vs Steez SV

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Steez EX vs Steez SV

Post by rgbtr196le » Tue Aug 04, 2015 9:51 am

May have already been asked so excuse me if it has. First off I am not familiar with the Steez reels but curious how you all think the new Steez SV will compare to the older Steez EX? Pros/Cons? Looking at a Steez in the future and I know you guys have a lot of knowledge in this area. Thank you.

Assuming you are speaking of the USDM Steez SV?....Once the NEW STEEZ SV are released...(guessing Daiwa is giving their retailers a chance to rid themselves of the EX and delaying the SV release) we will find out how they compare.

If they kept the frame as is and just did a spool change, I thing people will like them. I have 1st generation Steez reels and a couple have SV 105 spools in them. They are a pleasure to fish with.

What do you usually throw with it? I'm debating between the EX or the LTD.
