TW has the NEW Steez 103SV in stock

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Tackle warehouse now has all of the models in stock...Upcoming Labor day sale should knock off another $60.

I am about to order one from my local tackle shop because he will give me a discount. This will make it cheaper than the JDM Steez SV. I like what Daiwa did with the price on the new USDM Steez.

Cosmetically, it looks cheapened, especially with the mismatching sideplates and frame as JerryC pointed out. It just lacks the look of a high-end Daiwa. Throw in the knobs, which I don't personally care for, and the fact that they added a Zaion gear side sideplate and still managed to gain an ounce, and this looks like one Daiwa I won't be purchasing =;

Guys!
What is the difference between that reel and Steez SV Limited?
Just knobs and body finish?

Where is this 1 oz coming from? 4/10 of an ounce on the 6.3 and 6/10 of an ounce difference on the 8.1. I would reserve judgement on color until someone actually has the reel. Ehrler and Howell have done many tourney videos. st Lawrence and Chesapeake bay. Color looks same. As far as how it compares to JDM SV103.... Who would know except those that have them? Daiwa just received the shipment on 8/31.

Judging by pic???? I get disgrumtled too when TW's pic of plastics look like Green Pumpkin and when I get them they look more like just pumpkin. Do you actually have the reel? SV spools added a whole 4/10 of ounce with the Zaion side plate.

I have a jdm steez sv 6.3l. It weighs 5.5 ounces. Daiwa says on there website that the new usdm steez sv weighs 6.4. That is where the ounce is coming from.

Not comparing same gear ratios...

The 8.1:1 weighs more then the 6.3:1. Both in the US and JDM version.
The US version 6.3:1 weighs 5.8 oz. so actually only 3/10 of oz more if gonna compre to JDM 6.3 steez version and only 1/2 oz more then the 6.3 TN version.
As I stated earlier I was comparing to the EX...USDM to USDM.
