But was the Curado D and E the only Curado with the aluminum side plates?

The E Series did not have aluminum sideplates.

The D was all aluminum

So the D was made more for the saltwater jigging as appose tot he composit?

The E series Curado and the I series have graphite side plates. I own both. The frame is aluminum. Tackle Tour did a review on both where they talk about it.

The "D", especially the DPV, was the best Curado made to date.
