New Curado 70
Re: New Curado 70
I hope Shimano makes a Scorpion version.
Re: New Curado 70
HGs are usually about 7.5:1 and XGs are usually 8.5:1OkobojiEagle wrote:Gear ratios?
Monsterfishing does not list a 6.X:1 version. I believe there is an error in thier line capacity for 10#

Re: New Curado 70
I was hoping to see a finesse 200i BUT at 6.5 oz, really!? That's almost 2 oz more than my alde '15. 6oz+ reels just feel heavy these days!
Re: New Curado 70
If their other reels are any indication. The HG will be a 7.x:1 and the XG eill benin the 8s
Re: New Curado 70
Looks good, wonder if this will remove the 200I or if well have 2 Curado's
Re: New Curado 70
If you zoom in on the gear cover it looks like it may say 8.2:1 ... ?
Re: New Curado 70
Body looks almost identical to the current Metanium.
Re: New Curado 70
Looks like a more condensed compact 200i.
Which is what it is......
I dont think it looks like any of these other shimano reels.

Re: New Curado 70
It looks to be the Curado frame but with different tooling for the sideplates. Looks like they moved the external dial. I wouldnt be surprised if the palming sideplate was slimmer.
Re: New Curado 70
From the angle of the picture, i think it looks better than the 200 size.
I guess we'll see once it gets here.
I wonder if a citica 70 is also coming

Re: New Curado 70
This reel clearly shares a similar profile to the current 200i series. Whether or not it's the same size is yet to be known since there's no side by side comparison. 6.5oz is still light. I like it so far. I'm sure I'll be picking one up when they become available. Thanks Shimano!
