2015 Metanium DC or the older Metanium DC7???

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Thank you! Newer met looks cooler, but I feel this reel palms better for me. 99% of the time I'm fishing, no one is watching anyway, lol

Any chance you know where to get another at that price shoot me a PM

Thanks, I have a brass gear set on the way with carbontex drag washers and bigger shimano knobs. The guy I bought it from has one more brand new in box. I'll send you a pm about it.
How much weight does this add, if any?
The stock drive gear and pinion gear are .3 ounces and the upgraded brass drive gear and pinion gear are .6 ounces. So it adds about .3 ounces to the weight of the reel. The reel is 6.8 ounces, so it would make it about 7.1 ounces.
Thanks! I'm sure the performance offsets the weight gain.
