Terrible Chinese knock off reels

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Maybe I am imagining things but this one looks like it is copying the Curado K style. Only the Curado K can pull off the satin black and green accent look. It also has a VBS knock off braking system. Why not.

These Conquest knock-offs look amazing for under $175. If they come out with 100 size (or BFS) versions I will absolutely give one a shot. I suppose the 200 size might be good for mid-sized Pike/Musky Lures.

That knock off VBS cracks me up. I cannot believe someone would design that with 7 pins... I know from the base engineering classes I have had that even though it CAN work, its never a great idea to run non symmetrical systems. I know people say the new SVS infinity is okay with uneven brakes, but I cannot bring myself to ever run with 1 or 3 brakes on. It would be fine to run all 7 brakes, but I don't know who would want that much brake. I cannot find a symmetrical combo at all on those brakes, maybe its just a personal thing or fear, but it is still odd to me.

It's obvious that the two reels in the photo are different...right and left should be mirror images of each other, but these are not.

You can tell by how much of the spool is visible in each reel.

I have read the entire thread, but has anyone used the KastKing brand?

I bought a few KastKing brands, and returned all of them.

The brakes must be turned up all the way, and even then you get loops frequently.

I had a friend try them. He said they cast like an Ardent that he has. One cast will be perfect, and then a second cast in the same location results in line loops. No big backlashes, but annoying loops.

The first wave of Chinese reels could be a great learning experience. The engineers can go back and fix the design flaws.

But I don't know how long it will take them.

They just aren't sitting flat in the grass. One is rotated back more than the other.

Anybody with experience on the Conquest replicas? Interested in trying one out for 150 USD but would see at least one or two feedbacks...

Automatic cable ceramic outlet hole. Why does Daiwa even try? The SV103 can't compete with this.

Check this thing out. Look at that crazy spool and inductor. It's like they had some knock off of Mag V but still wanted a shallow flat bottom spool.

Shishamo is at it again. At least they tried to make it look like a Shimano this time.
