Terrible Chinese knock off reels

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

There is a link on one of those pages for a dual braking 18 bearing reel. How would one even go about putting 18 bearings in a reel?

I bought one of the No. 8 candly apples. Looked nice until I got to actually hold it. Afraid to fish it. It will likely break in a few casts.

Basically a TD-Z knock off........ But no where near the quality.

That's right, pharmboy2010! There are better copies of daiwa reels like angler (tdz 100)and omoto cerveza( tdz 103) with all the features: mg frames ,mag z brakes, floating spools and cheaper material I guess for their cost. :laugh1:

How in the world can they make/sell reels that cheap? I mean, it does cost something to manufacture.

Cheap parts, cheap labor and no R&D or marketing = rock bottom pricing.
