Spool lip diameter on 2500 size Stradic CI4+?
Spool lip diameter on 2500 size Stradic CI4+?
Will someone please give this diameter in millimeters?
I'm wondering how it compares to other reels I already own:
Old Daiwa Regal-Z 1500: 44 mm.
Daiwa Fuego-A 2000: 42 mm.
Daiwa Regal-Z 2500, Pflueger 35 size: 48 mm.
Also, since the 2500 and 3000 size Ci4+ reels both are said to weigh 7 oz., is it the case that their spools have the same lip diameter but the 3000 spool has a deeper core (just more line capacity)?

C'mon, guys. Lots of you own this reel. Will someone kindly measure the spool for us?

Im seeing right at 45.7mm or so. Maybe 45.9mm.

Thank you!
Now, does anyone know if the 3000 size has the same spool diameter but a smaller spool core?

Thanks, aquaholik.
It was confusing, because Shimano's specs say the 2500 retrieves 34 IPT and the 3000 retrieves 35 IPT. Since they have the same gear ratio, that should mean the 3000 spool is slightly wider--but so slightly wider that it wouldn't make sense to have a different model on that basis alone. Just another instance of inaccurate Shimano specs, I guess.

For Shimano, the 2500 and 3000 size are essentially the same with deeper spool in the 3000 size. It has been like that for at least the last 10 years. For Daiwa, the 3000 size has a significantly larger spool diameter than the 2500.
