Just saw on Daiwa's FB page that they are CT'ing the Fuego and lowering the price to $99.

It has been many years since I bought a Diawa reel, but I'm tempted by this reel.

I noticed the Fuego that the Japanese pro's are using have better components than the one Seth Feider is using.

Man, you have better eyes than I. I can't see any differences, and I doubt Daiwa would do that.

Knobs from Steez SV TW, thumb bar from Zillion SV TW, different cast control cap, and metal handle nut and retainer. Seth's reel has Tatula knobs and thumb bar, cheaper looking cast control cap, and a plastic handle retainer. One of them might be a prototype. If not, cost could be different between the two.

You are good! I can't see that stuff even after you've pointed it out!

I have a gift. There was a Daiwa post a while back that showed the Fuego version with the cheaper components.

Any chance of a Fuego CT type R, or higher spec JDM Fuego CT? I love the Tat CT platform but i'm not a fan of T-wing...
